What Is The Everlasting Good News of Yahweh?
Before we can answer that question, we must first understand where the phrase “good news” comes from. The New Testament comes to us in the Greek language. The Greek word “euangelion” is usually translated “gospel” in English translations. “Gospel” comes from the Anglo-Saxon god-spell , ie., God-story. Since “God” is a man-made title that is erroneously substituted for the Creator’s true name, Yahweh, this author chooses to use the more correct meaning of the word “euangelion” which is “good news.”
The word “euangelion” occurs over seventy-five times in the NT with the meaning of “good news.” Several English translations use “good news” as well; The American Standard Version, The Twentieth Century New Testament, The Berkeley Version of the New Testament, The New Testament: A Translation in the Language of the People (Williams), The New Testament: An American Translation (Goodspeed), etc.
The New Testament speaks of the good news in several ways. There is the; “good news of Yahshua Messiah, the Son of [Yahweh]” (Mk.1:1), “good news of [Yahweh]” (Rom.1:1), “good news of the kingdom of [Yahweh]” (Mk.1:14), “good news of the glory of Messiah” (II Cor.4:4), “good news of peace” (Rom.10:15), etc. Each of these aspects of the good news have major importance in the overall message of salvation preached in the NT. The “everlasting good news” encompasses all aspects of the good news as found in Scripture. For those who refuse to heed the good news it is utter foolishness, but to those who accept the good news it is the “power of [Yahweh] unto salvation” (Rom.1:16).
This article is concerned primarily with that aspect of the everlasting good news that is proclaimed in Rev.14:6,7.
“And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting good news to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
Saying with a loud voice, ‘Fear [Yahweh], and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgment is come: and worship Him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of water.” KJV
This message is for all people as verse 6 tells us. It is not just for “religious” people, but for the worst of sinners as well. The main concern of verse 7 is that all people “Fear [Yahweh]” who is identified as the Creator. Most English versions say, “Fear God,” but, once again, “God” is a man-made title. The Holy Scriptures reveal the Creator’s personal name to be “Yahweh.” Many times in the OT we are admonished to “Fear [Yahweh].” The following are just a few examples;
Ps.33:8 – “Let all the earth fear Yahweh. . .”
Ps.34:9 – “O fear Yahweh, ye His saints. . .”
Ps.115:13 – “He will bless them that fear Yahweh. . .”
Pr.3:7 – “Be not wise in thine own eyes, fear Yahweh and depart from evil. “
Fear can come in two forms. It can be fear as in reverence or it can be fear as in fright. The context of Rev.14:7 can include both forms of fear, but certainly that of fright since it concerns the “hour of His judgment.” As Heb.10:30,31 tells us;
“For we know Him that said, ‘Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith Yahweh.’ And again, ‘Yahweh shall judge His people.’ It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living Mighty One.”
Friends, if you do not want to be on the receiving end of Yahweh’s vengeance, you need to respond appropriately to the good news of Rev.14:7. Begin to fear Yahweh who created you. Contrary to popular belief, you did not evolve from monkeys. You were created by a loving being who has a great plan for your life.
How does a person come to fear Yahweh, you may ask? Click here to find out. “The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom . . .” as the psalmist wrote. But that fear will eventually turn into a deep love for Yahweh once you come to know Him in a more intimate way. As we read in I Jn.4:18;
” There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear: because fear has torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love.”
We need to be “made” perfect in love. One does not love naturally. As we experience something more and more we make a conscious decision to love. As you learn about Yahweh through His written word, the Bible, and as you realize the great love He has for all His creatures, you will grow to love Him and all your fears will be abated.
Rev.14:7 also commands us to “give glory to Him” (Yahweh). The word “glory” is translated from the Greek word “doxa”. As used throughout the New Testament, it has the meaning of holding a good opinion about someone, resulting in praise and honor towards that person. There is no being in the universe worthy of more praise and honor than the Creator Himself.
We are admonished similarly in Ps 29:2;
“Give unto Yahweh the glory due unto his name; worship Yahweh in the beauty of holiness.”
To give glory to Yahweh is a form of fearing Yahweh in the sense of reverence. Ps 89:7 reads;
“El (the Mighty One) is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about Him.”
Here we see the two commands of Rev.14:7; to fear Him and to give glory or reverence to Him. We also see both in Heb.12:28.
“Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve Elohim acceptably with reverence and fear.”
Yahweh will not allow His glory to be given to another through idolatry as we read in Isa.42:8;
“I am Yahweh: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.”
Israel failed to give Yahweh the glory due His name when they fell into idolatry, so He warned Israel to do so or face dire consequences.
“If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith Yahweh of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.” Mal.2:2
One of the most important ways to give glory to Yahweh is by confessing His Messiah, Yahshua, as one’s Master.
“And that every tongue should confess that Yahshua Messiah is Master, to the glory of Elohim the Father.” Php 2:11
Messiah Yahshua is the “way” of salvation according to Yahweh’s great plan of salvation which He devised before the foundation of the world. To embrace Yahshua as Messiah and confess him as one’s Master is to give glory to Yahweh. To reject him as Messiah and Master is to reject Yahweh’s plan of salvation. It sends a message to Yahweh that the individual deserves the glory for devising his own means of salvation contrary to Yahweh’s method.
The everlasting good news being preached in Rev.14:7 makes it quite clear that the object of our worship is the one who “made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” Since most English translations attribute creation to “God” in verse 7, and since this general title is applied to several beings including Yahweh, His Son Yahshua, Satan, men, and angels, we need to search the Scriptures to determine the true identity of the Creator.
We won’t go into great detail about that subject here since it is dealt with in other studies at this site. Suffice it to say that the Scriptures emphatically declare the Creator to be “Yahweh” over 100 times. A few examples follow;
Is.44:24 – “Thus saith Yahweh, thy redeemer, and He that formed thee from the womb, I am Yahweh that maketh all things ; that stretches forth the heavens alone; that spreads abroad the earth by myself.”
Is.45:11, 12 – “Thus saith Yahweh . . .I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.”
Is.45:18 – “For thus saith Yahweh that created the heavens; Elohim Himself that formed the earth and made it; He has established it, He created it not in vain, He formed it to be inhabited: I am Yahweh; and there is none else.”
If we direct our worship at any other being, we commit idolatry. If we glorify any other being as the Creator of the heavens and the earth, we commit idolatry. That includes glorifying Yahweh’s Son Yahshua as Creator. This is one of Christianity’s greatest failings. Satan has deceived the “church” into misdirecting its worship from the Father to the Son. He knew he couldn’t get them to worship himself, so the next best thing would be to misdirect their worship to another being. This Christians will gladly do all the while believing they are doing what is right. Satan is the father of lies and this is one of his greatest whoppers.
Do not misunderstand me. Yahshua is truly the Son of Yahweh, the Savior of the world, the Messiah. He deserves all the honor due him, but only where honor is due. He is not to be honored as Creator because that honor goes to his Father, Yahweh. He is also not to be honored as Yahweh Himself as many like to do. The Son is not the Father and Yahshua is not Yahweh.
So, we need to fear Yahweh who is the Creator. We need to worship Him as well. But Jn.4:24 says we must worship the Father “in truth.” Here is where true doctrine becomes important. If our doctrine is false, then our worship is false. Its a good thing we have the blood of Yahshua to cleanse us from our sins of ignorance. For an outline of the fundamental doctrines of true faith and worship, click here.
The most important truth concerning the worship of Yahweh is to do it the way that He provided. Yahshua the Messiah said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (Jn.14:6). Before a person can approach Yahweh in true worship, he must first accept Yahshua as his personal savior. This entails confessing with your mouth the Master Yahshua, and believing in your heart that Yahweh raised him from the dead (Rom.10:9). Click here to learn more about what you must do to be saved.
The admonition to “fear [Yahweh] and give glory to Him” is given in reference to a specific time frame; “the hour of His judgment”. In the context of Revelation, “the hour of His judgment” began with the opening of the seventh seal of Rev.8:1 which began the Day of Yahweh. It is at that time that Yahweh will judge this world and the wicked in it by fire.
“But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of wicked men.” 2 Pe.3:7
To fear Yahweh and give glory to Him is a loving warning from our Creator. It is His hope that, by embracing those words and doing them, we will avoid being recipients of that judgment. As we saw before, it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living Mighty One.
In conclusion, to fear Yahweh and worship Him as Creator is the everlasting good news. It has been preached since the beginning of time and will continue to be preached forever. The angel of Rev.14:7 is merely reminding the inhabitants of earth to do what they should have always done, but failed to do. I hope you will embrace this good news for it is truly powerful and life changing. It is your salvation!

“The Good News” has been hidden for quite some time now. In these times “The Good News” is referred to as “the gospel”, and “the gospel” has been so perverted that it can no longer be known as “The Good News” because is but genders “confusion, delusion and every evil work”.
So what is “The GOOD NEWS”?
The Good News” for the Jew was “The Kingdom of Heaven(G-D) is at hand”!
Mark 1:14-15 “After John was put in prison, The Messiah came into Galilee, preaching The Good News of The Kingdom of G-D”, saying, the time is fulfilled, and The Kingdom of G-D is at hand, repent, and believe The Good News”…….
And “The Good News” for the heathen(gentile), after The Messiah “was raised from among the dead”?
The Kingdom of G-D’s Dear Son IS! (Col1:13)
And:
“The Kingdom of Heaven(G-D) is at hand.”!
And “The Good News” after the destruction of the earthly, natural “kingdom” centered in jerusalem was and IS:
“THY Kingdom” HAS “Come”…….
“The Kingdom of Heaven(G-D,Our Father)” HAD Come, IS, and Always Will BE indeed and Truth…….
“What is Truth”? “Pilate” asked that question of The Messiah after The Messiah testified, “You say that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause I came into the world, that I should bear witness to The Truth. Everyone that is of The Truth hears My voice”!(John 18:38)
The Messiah previously had testified, “The Words that I speak are not My Words, they are The Words of The Father, HE WHO sent Me”. Later The Messiah testified to His disciples, “As G-D sent Me, so send I you”!
The Messiah, “the same today, yesterday and forever” and He “bore witness unto The Truth” as He revealed The Way to The Truth of The Life…….
Truth is Spirit and IS WHAT IS, WAS and ALWAYS WILL BE! Not temporal, Eternal!
And The GOOD News The Messiah preached?
“The Kingdom of Heaven(G-D) is at hand”!
When The Messiah was raised from among the dead and ascended into Heaven He was given His rightful place at “the right hand of Our Father and G-D”, and “all power was given Him(by Our Father and G-D) in earth and in Heaven?”
“The Kingdom of G-D’s Dear Son” HAD “Come”!
And The Faithful “were translated into The Kingdom”!
“Giving thanks unto The Father, WHO has made us able to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in Light: WHO has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into The Kingdom of HIS Beloved Son:” (Col 1:12-13)
All Thanks, Praise And Glory Be Unto Our Father!
And Paul testified of the time when The Messiah would deliver up The Kingdom unto Our G-D and Father and be submitted unto HIM once again.
“Then the END comes, when The Messiah shall have delivered up The Kingdom to GOD, even The Father; when The Messiah shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For The Messiah must reign(after He was resurrected), till He has put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. For G-D has put all things under The Messiah’s feet. But when G-D said, all things are put under The Messiah, it is manifest that HE (G-D) is excepted, WHO did put all things under The Messiah. And when all things shall be subdued unto The Messiah, then shall The Son also Himself be subject unto G-D, HE WHO put all things under Him, so that G-D may be ALL and in all.”(1Cor 15:22-28)
“Then the END comes”, question is, “the END” of what?
Paul testified, “In that G-D said, A NEW Covenant, HE has made the first covenant old. Now that which is decaying and waxing old is ready to vanish away”. (Heb 8:13)
“The END” was the end of the old covenant which was “decaying and waxing old”, and then “vanished away” with the destruction of the earthly, natural ‘kingdom’ centered in jerusalem.
So it is that believers were, and are exhorted to “set their affections on things above(Heavenly Things), not things of the earth”; they are exhorted to “be not of those whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, because they mind earthly things.” (Col 3:2, Phlp 3:19)
Now why such exhortations?
A believers “citizenship(Country, Life) is in Heaven”! (Phlp 3:20)
For believers had “experienced The Messiah and The Power that raised Him from among the dead”!
They had been “translated into The Kingdom of The Risen Messiah(G-D’s Dear Son)”
The GOOD NEWS preached by The Messiah?
“Repent for The Kingdom of Heaven(G-D) Is At Hand”!
“The END” of the old earthly covenant was At Hand.
And The GOOD NEWS Today?
The New, Heavenly, Spiritual Covenant IS!”
“And as some spoke of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, The Messiah said, As for these things which you behold, the days will come, in which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. And they asked Him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? And what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass? And He said, Take heed that you are not deceived: for many shall come in My name saying, i am the messiah; and the time draws near: do not go after them. But when you shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by. Then said He unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake. And they shall turn to you for a testimony. Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what you will answer: for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. And you shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolk’s, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. And you shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake. But there SHALL NOT A HAIR OF YOUR HEAD PERISH. In your patience possess your souls. And when you shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is at hand. Then let them which are in Judea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter there. For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! For there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people. And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and jerusalem shall be trodden down of the heathen, until the times of the heathens are fulfilled. And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of Heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws nigh. And He spoke a parable to them; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; when they now shoot forth, you see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. So likewise YOU, when YOU see these things come to pass, YOU know that The Kingdom of G-D(Heaven) is close at hand. Truly I say unto YOU, THIS
GENERATION SHALL NOT PASS AWAY, TILL ALL BE FULFILLED.”(Luke 21:5-33)
And The Messiah testified, “Truly I say unto YOU, that this generation shall not pass, till ALL these things be done.”(Mark 13:30)
“Truly I say unto YOU, This generation shall not pass, till ALL these things be fulfilled.”(Matt 24:34)
(The word “YOU” in the above testimonies, as revealed in the first three “Gospels”, referred to those who The Messiah was speaking to at that time!)
Simply, with the destruction of the earthly, natural kingdom centered in jerusalem that “which waxed old” DID “vanish away” indeed and Truth…….
The Kingdom was no longer of the earth, earthly, The Kingdom of G-D was now fully of The Spirit, Heavenly.
The END of the Old, earthly kingdom WAS!
“THY Kingdom” HAD “Come” indeed and Truth!
Paul testified, “WE WHICH ARE ALIVE and remain SHALL BE CAUGHT UP together with them in the clouds to meet The Messiah in the air: and so shall WE ever be with The
Messiah.”(1Thes 4:17:18)
And Paul testified, “I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. And G-D WILL DELIVER ME FROM EVERY EVIL WORK, AND WILL PRESERVE ME UNTO HIS Heavenly Kingdom: to WHOM be Glory for ever and ever.. Amen(Let it be so)”. (2Tim 4:17-18)
I believe that Paul was alive and taken up “in the clouds to meet The Messiah in the air” when the physical, earthly kingdom centered in jerusalem was destroyed, and the so-called ‘dispensation of Paul’ came to an end.
At that time “The Messiah came in the clouds”. At that time of “the END” of the old age, “the END”of the old covenant, The Messiah delivered up The Kingdom unto Our Father and G-D and subjected Himself unto HIM once again.
All Thanks, Praise And Glory Be Unto “Our Father”!
The Messiah had testified, “Behold, I COME QUICKLY: hold that fast which YOU have, that no man take YOUR crown.” (Rev 3:11)
“Behold, I COME QUICKLY: blessed is he that keeps the sayings of the prophecy of this book.”(Rev 22:7)
“Behold, I COME QUICKLY, and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work shall be.”(Rev 22:12)
And the apostle John testified, “He Who testifies concerning these things said to me,”Surely I COME QUICKLY”. Amen(So be it). Even so, Come Y’shua Messiah!”(Rev 22:20)
And The Messiah DID Come! And QUICKLY!
And so it is that today The Faithful desire to be taken Home, for their “place has been prepared for them”!
Home! Home at last!
It is as The Messiah testified, “Whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die”…….
And then The Messiah questioned, “Do you believe this”?
YES! and you? do you believe?
The Faithful await their final transformation, “corruptible to incorruptible” indeed and Truth.
All Thanks, Praise And Glory Be Unto “The ONE and Only True G-D, Father(Creator) of ALL”!
Peace, in spite of the dis-eases(lies) that are of this wicked world and it’s systems of religion for “the WHOLE(not just a portion) world is under the control of the evil one” (1John5:19) indeed and Truth…….
Truth IS, a lie is not…….
Abide in The Truth…….

Thanks for your comments Francis. I agree with most of what you wrote. However, as I stated in my article, I was not addressing the good news of the Kingdom, but the everlasting good news as declared in Rev 14.
You can read my understanding of the good news of the Kingdom at http://everlastinggoodnewsofyahweh.com/2009/01/the-good-news-of-the-kingdom-of-heaven/
Shalom,
John
